Doireann’s family name is synonymous with the finest of Irish dancing throughout the world. The original school, Inis Ealga, was founded by Doireann’s father, Maitiu O’Maoileidigh, in Dublin, Ireland, over sixty years ago. Inis Ealga grew to be the top school in Ireland and Maitiu, along with his associate teacher, Marie Duffy (currently choreographer of "Lord of the Dance"), traveled throughout the US, Canada and Australia, sharing their expertise of an old Irish tradition that has quickly become a very active and much sought after art form.
